Your 2009 Monthly Premiums for Medicare
Part A (Hospital) Monthly Premium
Most people pay $0 each month for Part A because they paid Medicare taxes while working.
You pay up to $443 each month if you do not get premium-free part A.
Part B (Medical) Monthly Premium
Starting January 1, 2009, most people will pay the standard monthly Part B premium listed in the chart below. However, some people will pay a higher premium based on their modified adjusted gross income.
The 2009 Part B monthly premium rates to be paid by beneficiaries who file an individual tax return (including those who are single, head of household, qualifying widow(er) with dependent child, or married filing separately who lived apart from their spouse for the entire taxable year), or who file a joint tax return are:

Actual plan premiums vary. You also pay the Part B premium (and Part A if you do not get it premium free), or an amount for your Part D coverage is added to your Part C premium.
