Volunteer Spotlight

This week's volunteer spotlight shines on Wynnette Jean Shearn who is involved with the SHIBA program as Counselor.

Wynnette has been a SHIBA volunteer since 2004 and counsels at the Nampa Senior Center. She has also helped numerous clients with casework.

In addition to counseling for SHIBA, in May, Wynnette began volunteering as an administrative volunteer in the Boise regional office. If you call the office on Friday, you may get to speak with Wynnette as she answers phones, sets appointments, prepares packets of materials, and assists with data entry. Wynnette requested the opportunity to volunteer at the Boise site because she wanted to learn more in general about SHIBA and what all we do.

We so appreciate Wynnette's can-do attitude and her willingness to be of assistance with a wide variety of projects.

Watch this space for monthly changes to our Volunteer in the Spotlight. If you would like to nominate someone to be a volunteer in the spotlight, submit your nomination to your volunteer coordinator, giving the name of the volunteer and why you think he or she deserves to be in the spotlight.
