This week's volunteer spotlight shines on Carol Tombre
who is involved with the SHIBA program as Counselor.
Carol retired from a career in the Medical Coding Indusrty from Washington State. Since moving to Idaho with her husband Matt, Carol has dedicated herself as a volunteer not only with the SHIBA Program but with other organizations such as the Mustard Seed Misistries, St. Edwards Soup Kitchen, Twin Falls City Library Board, Over 50 and Getting Fit as well as teaching a "Living Well in Idaho " course.
Carol has achieved a superior level of Medicare Counseling over the past six years as a SHIBA Volunteer. Her contribution to this Program has been invaluable to the Seniors in the Magic Valley that come to her for all their Medicare Counseling needs.
Carols volunteer counseling impacts over 200 individuals each year. Carol's patience and compassion with the Seniors of the Magic Valley is notable in the amount of repeat visits she receives each year during the Annual Medicare Open Enrollment Period.
Carol other love and passion is for animals. She rescues, trains and places service dogs.
