This week's volunteer spotlight shines on Mary Moss who is involved with the SHIBA program as Counselor Extraordinaire.
Mary has been a passionate advocate in Bonners Ferry and is the Far Northern Idaho cornerstone of the SHIBA program! She uses extraordinary patience and observation to counsel her community on Medicare Part D, assist with Medicaid Program applications, and troubleshoot problems.
Mary has a heart for SHIBA counseling because the scope of the Medicare decisions people are making have a broad impact on their lives and she can help put things in regular language. Mary puts a human touch on bureaucracy!
Watch this space for monthly changes to our Volunteer in the Spotlight. If you would like to nominate someone to be a volunteer in the spotlight, submit your nomination to your volunteer coordinator, giving the name of the volunteer and why you think he or she deserves to be in the spotlight.
