This week's volunteer spotlight shines on Dawn James who is involved with the SHIBA program as administrative.
Dawn's career revolved around administrative work which she missed in retirement. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program sent Dawn to SHIBA after Volunteer Services Coordinator Karen Clark asked for help in finding a volunteer willing to do data entry.
Dawn has helped SHIBA since January 2011 and has no intention of stopping. She really enjoys the work and SHIBA really enjoys Dawn's work! She is accurate, diligent and a pleasure to work with.
Our federal grant is dependent upon data entry being completed in a timely and accurate manner. Dawn does the bulk of the data entry for 3 of SHIBA's 4 regions. Since having Dawn on board, we just can't imagine how we ever managed without her!
Watch this space for monthly changes to our Volunteer in the Spotlight. If you would like to nominate someone to be a volunteer in the spotlight, submit your nomination to your volunteer coordinator, giving the name of the volunteer and why you think he or she deserves to be in the spotlight.
